Brian D. Burgoon
Mr. Burgoon is an attorney who practices civil and business litigation. He founded The Burgoon Law Firm in 2007 after practicing for ten years with one of Atlanta’s largest law firms. His clients have included individuals, government entities, small businesses and large private and public corporations, including several Fortune 100 companies. In 2000, at the age of 28, he became the youngest person ever elected to the Florida Bar Board of Governors, and is serving his 17th year representing Florida lawyers who live out-of-state on the bar’s governing board. In addition to practicing law, Mr. Burgoon is a commercial pilot.
Mr. Burgoon is Vice President of the UF Alumni Association, and has served on the UF Alumni Association Board of Directors since 2010. He also is a member of the UF College of Law’s Board of Trustees, a past President of the UF College of Law Alumni Council and a past recipient of UF’s Outstanding Young Alumnus Award.
Mr. Burgoon earned his bachelor’s degree, with honors, in 1994 in Political Science and his Juris Doctorate, with high honors, in 1997 from the University of Florida. He served as UF’s Student Body President, was named UF’s Outstanding Male Leader and inducted into the UF Hall of Fame.
